My boyfriend and I went on the 4 day 3 nights Saigon – Nam Cat Tien – Daat – Nha Trang cycle with Vietnam Bie tours in October 2012 and had an amazing experience.
Firstly, our guide Haii and driver Truc were fantastic. Haii was great company and really took care of us, both on the road cycling and after hours checking into accommodation and selecting delicious things for us to eat. Truc was a safe and careful driver who was always on time and didn’t mind my company when I bailed out of the cycling.
The route was perfect, a nice mixture of quiet roads and scenic mountains. We cycled through the national park, small villages and over a beautiful mountain range. We felt safe at all times.
The accommodation was lovely, far better than I expected. The food was also really good. Haii would recommend dishes at each restaurant and they were always delicious. In fact, after the tour we missed Haii’s advice when we were ordering at restaurants.
My boyfriend is a keen cyclist and he found the journey just right. As I Don’t cycle I only rode about 35 kilometres each day. This was never a probem and i didnt feel uncomfortable about it.
Apart from the cycling we also had a lovely trek through the national park, a night safari, a tour of Dalat and a wonderful day snorkelling at Nha Trang. We also had the opportunity to eat crickets along the way.
Our trek mountain bikes were brand new and the mini van was in excellent condition.
At all times we felt like we were travelling first class. Apart from drinks we didn’t pay for anything additional to the tour price. We were the only two on the tour so were really looked after.
We enjoyed everything about this trip ad I would recommend this company to anyone looking for an adventure.
